Interest in this problem is caused by increased attention to the study of new trends in the development of world megacities, in which the Islamic component in modern conditions has an important scientific, cultural and social significance. Moscow as a city, which has a special metropolitan status and symbolic significance in the minds of its citizens, in this sense is no exception. The appeal to the Muslim past of Moscow, which has quite ancient roots, emphasizes one of its main features as a historical multinational city. The Russian capital, taking into account the rapidly developing national diasporas of the Transport, the Republics of the North Caucasus, the Central Asian states, as well as the original ethnic group of Moscow - the Tatars are the largest Muslim city not only in Russia, but also of Europe, numbering up to three million people ethnically and spiritually associated with Islam .
