The story is a continuation of the Popular-Popular Biographical Biographical Biographical book “Father John (Kentankin) that published earlier: the path, truth, and life”. The author opens up for readers the fate of one of the brightest figures of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 20th century in 1910-1967-from the moment of birth before the departure of Hieromonk John to the Holy Assumption Pskov-Pechersky Monastery. This is the time of the formation of the future great old man, his growing up, spiritual growth, which fell to his lot of spiritual and bodily tests. Particular attention in the book is paid to people who have become spiritual teachers for the future great old man. Many of them today are glorified in the face of new martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church.
When writing the story, an extensive building of literature on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 20th century was used, unique archival materials and the press of the 1920-60s, many valuable meetings and conversations with people who still knew the father of John.
