The collection of works of the largest Russian gunner of the 20th century, professor Sergei Viktorovich Troitsky (1878–1972) is devoted to the understanding of the relationship of Orthodox local churches, urgent problems of comparative theology and canon law.
“The Church is one and therefore,” wrote Professor S. V. Troitsky, “that it is cathedral, catholic, that is, comprehensive, hugging the whole world ... and the holiness of the Church is not connected with any place (Io. 4, 21) ... And if the decrees of any local church are inspired by the Holy Spirit, then how can it be subordinated to any permanent higher instance? ” Therefore, the actual championship of the Patriarch of Constantinople in the Orthodox Church cannot be considered either the canonically solid or all the more unchanged.
