The book introduces readers to the spiritual experience of the Greek Orthodox Church. It contains edifying cases from the ascetic life, sayings and miracles of modern Greek elders. The publication also includes the charter of the Hylendar Monastery, compiled by St. Savva Serbian. The charter, which is a document on the history of Athos monasticism, applies not only to the organization of monastic life, but also affects many aspects of the moral life of a Christian, and therefore it will be useful to read it to every layman.
