With deep faith, Christian hope should be expressed by a prayer petition to the Lord. The desires of the heart should be like a request. He himself said: ask, and it will be given to you (Matt. 7.7), ask, and get (John 16.24) Prayer petition implies the deliberation of desires, desires are cleansed by the types of Christian hope, complacency, self -wrapping, self -confusion and other properties that are not constructing the moral feeling of true believers. On the other hand, with true prayer, the irregularity and infinity of petitions are incompatible. The modesty and moderation of desires, limited by the humble consciousness of their spiritual imperfection, give meaningfulness and reasonableness of the mastery of a Christian.
Such a petition cannot be left without execution /for it is said: And that’s it, he will not ask him in prayer with faith, receive (Matthew 21, 22), and will not introduce reproaches, which is pronounced by the lips of the apostle to the Lord successful Evil hopes: ask, and do not get it, because ask not for good, but to use for your lusts (James 4, 3).
