The book of Deacon Cyril Markovsky “The sky at the bottom” is a unique document. It contains letters, poems and drawings of people who have committed especially serious crimes and sentenced to life imprisonment in a special regime colonies. There are only five such colonies in Russia and they are located on the edge of the Earth. Deacon Kirill Markovsky personally visited these people, talked with them, and corresponded. The result of communication was a book supplemented by the piercing texts of the compiler himself, his thoughts on the depth of human repentance and the power of God"s mercy
