The compiler of this textbook of good memory is Professor Anatoly Vasilievich Ushkov.
Anatoly Vasilievich Ushkov was born on August 7, 1894 in Samara in the family of an employee of the Samara Spiritual Consistory. At the end of the four classes of the Samara Theological Seminary, in 1912 he successfully passed the entrance exams to Kazan University and was enrolled in the Physics and Mathematics faculty. After the university, in 1916, A. Ushkov was mobilized for military service, and was trained at the Kiev artillery school. From 1918 to 1945 He taught mathematics and physics in secondary and special educational institutions in the cities of Samara, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. He headed the educational part and was the head of methodological meetings on the teaching of physics and mathematics. From 1939 to 1943 He studied in absentia at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute at the faculty of Russian language and literature, which, having graduated, for some time, along with the teaching of mathematics, led the literature in secondary educational institutions of Moscow.
In 1945, he fulfilled his long -standing dream - to serve the Holy Church and entered the Moscow Theological Academy. At the end of the Academy, in 1949, with the title of candidate of theology obtained for the essay “The Soul and its Immortality on Christian Learning”, he taught Katichisis, and then the Church Slavonic language in the theological seminary. In 1964, after reading two trial lectures “Ancient World before the coming of Christ the Savior” and “The Basic Provisions of Formal Logic”, A. V. Ushkov was awarded the title of associate professor and lectured lectures on logic at the Academy. He compiled a number of training manuals for theological schools: “Brief Easter”, “Logic in the course of academic education”, “Brief Easter in the public presentation”, “Astronomical reference book”, “Brief description of the solar system”, “Calendar account of the time”, “Account” And the measure from ancient times to the present day. Anatoly Vasilyevich prepared the training course of the Church Slavonic language, for which the Council of the Academy appropriated him on December 15, 1969. The degree of master of theology and approved the professor.
Anatoly Vasilievich was distinguished by great modesty, sensitive, attentive attitude to people, was struck by his extraordinary performance, the greatest hard work. The thirst for preaching the Word of God was His spiritual need. He uttered 65 sermons on holidays and Sundays in an academic church, in them - a vivid expression of his deep Christian feelings and the boundless, cordial love for God and people. At the beginning of 1971-1972, Anatoly Vasilievich was forced to leave work at the Academy and transfer to retirement due to illness.
A.V. Ushkov died on January 14, 1972, at the 78th year of life, having joined the Holy Mysteries of Christ. He was buried in a cemetery in Sergiev Posad
