In a monograph prepared by a team of authors - teachers, as well as students of the pedagogical faculty of the Orthodox Holy Tikhonovsky Humanitarian University, the methodological heritage left by the law teachers of Russia in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries is being investigated. The experience of their activities and its theoretical generalization is of great importance for the correct understanding of the features of improving the methodological base of the subject "Fundamentals of the Orthodox Faith" in modern Orthodox-oriented schools. Therefore, the purpose of writing this monograph was the extraction of ideas, methods and means of teaching Orthodox creed, relevant and adequate to modern pedagogical theory and educational practice.
