The life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. From the books of the Minea

This inspired narrative about the earthly life of the Queen of Heaven was compiled by the spiritual writer Avdotya Pavlovna Glinka (1795 - 1863) The book was first printed in 1840, in pre -revolutionary times it was reprinted 16 times, 6 of them during the life of the author. Truly - a folk book! In its compilation, Avdotya Glinka primarily used the legend of the life of the Mother of God from different volumes of the Chetia-Mini (the lives of the saints), combining them into one whole, as well as evidence from the Holy Gospel. For a better understanding of the text, she shifted him from the Slavic language into spoken Russian. May this legend serve about the Blessed Virgin Mary and us to salvation.
