Peter Simonovich Kazan (1819-1878)-Russian theologian and historian, professor of the Moscow Theological Academy.
In his book, the history of Russian monasticism is presented with its origin within the walls of the Pechersk monastery, founded by the Monk Anthony, and before the emergence of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Christianity was not immediately born - it took time that the teachings of Christ would go deeper into the hearts of the converts, but the Light of God managed to penetrate them and aroused the true faith into a single god.
