The book proposed to the attention of the reader is written in accordance with the curriculum of the course "History of non -Christian religions" for spiritual educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church. The author focused on the objective and most accessible presentation of historical facts and foreign -cultural realities from positions that are generally recognized in the scientific community, taking into account the worldview of the Orthodox Christian.
The textbook consists of two sections. In the first section, we are talking about two monotheistic religions: Judaism and Islam. The second section is dedicated to polytheistic religions.
The textbook meets the current requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education. It is addressed to students of both spiritual seminaries and secular universities that train students under the educational standard on theology, as well as all those interested in the history of religion, cultural studies and religious studies.
