Book J.L. Schellenberg is devoted to a fundamental, but still weakly detected problem in the philosophy of religion: if God is, then why is it so non -obvious? Trying to explain the lack of sufficient evidence of the existence of God, theists traditionally insist that God is intentionally hidden from people. In response to this, Schellenberg notes that thisist statement is contrary to. Their own ideas about God"s moral qualities, therefore, the author gives arguments to defending that the perfectly loving god in whom theists believe would not hide from people and would make the disbelief in his existence would be unreasonable. However, in our world there is a completely reasonable disbelief in the existence of God, which gives Schellenberg the reason to recognize this fact as a weighty argument in favor of atheism. The book “Hidness of God and the Mind of Man” is the first purposeful study of this problem. It is intended primarily for the theologists and philosophers of religion, but it can be of interest to everyone who worries the question of the existence of God
