The great canon of St. Andrew, the Archbishop of the Cretan, who died in 712, is sung and read in parts on the Great Poecher on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the first week of Great Lent and then completely on the uterine on Thursday of the fifth week.
