The action of a deeply psychological novel “The God-Brothers” unfolds on a temporary segment from the 90s of the last century to the present day. The complexity of the internal, spiritual life of a modern person is shown in it with all the naked acuteness. The main character painfully difficult to solve worldview issues and theological problems. In search of truth, he comes to the monastery, where his spiritual transformation is performed at the obedience of the experienced old man.
However, over time, the difficulties of resolving some seeming contradictions of Christianity pushing the rebellious rebel to extremely extraordinary acts. Losing a living faith in God and the hope of the triumph of justice in this sinful world, he very brutally “tests for strength” humility and love for the priest’s god, who has been spiritually fading him for a long time, and plugs the murder of his old man.
At the end of the novel, the Divine Providence itself intervenes in the spiritual torment and tireless searches of the protagonist, miraculously putting the final point in his spiritual torment.
