The spiritual flower garden is a collection of instructive and spiritual thoughts and tips selected from the works of the holy fathers and ascetics of the Church of Christ, such as St. John Chrysostom, St. Tikhon Zadonsky, St. Righteous John of Kronstadt, St. Neil Sorsky, Egyptian ascetics and many others. They relate to different aspects, sides of the Christian faith and morality, Orthodox piety. In particular, they say about the importance of love for God and neighbor, about the fight against passions, patience of sorrows and temptations, the correct use of the gift of word, storage of their conscience, the need and the correct way of the creation of prayer, the punishment of God for sins and a reward for virtues. Their teachings are similar to beautiful colors growing in flowering gardens and meadows, and as those smell attract the sense of the sense of people, so these pearls of spiritual wisdom attract the souls of pious people who are striving to please God and build their lives on earth according to the commandments of the Lord.
We hope that this publication - as a collection of spiritual thoughts and sayings - will benefit Orthodox readers, especially those who are not able to read vast books.
