The history of the crucifixion of Jesus and the symbol of the cross even today, when it is customary to talk about the crisis of Christianity, retain the enormous power of influence on us and our life. But what actually happened then, 2000 years ago, and is there any reason to say that that day something happened that radically changed the world? When Jesus from Nazareth died a terrible death on the cross at the hands of Roman soldiers, no one saw a hero in him. When his body was hurriedly put into the tomb, no one said that his death turned into a wonderful victory, became heroic martyrdom. His movement, which was a motley group of followers, died with him. The world has not changed. Another young leader was brutally executed. However, turning to this day in the light of what happened shortly after him, the followers of Jesus made a shocking conclusion: the death of Jesus became the beginning of the revolution.
