In 2010, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Cyril, the Cathedral of the Yekaterinburg saints was glorified. Most of them are new martyrs who suffered in the 20th century. In the words of St. John Shanghai, our earth was consecrated by their blood, the air was consecrated from the ascent of their souls, the sky above us was sanctified by the face of the holy new martyrs, they shone like a bright dawn over the washed martyrdom of the Ural land.
