The church on the Vorontsov Field, which was located near the Earth Val on the right bank of the Yauza, is first mentioned in historical documents since 1620. In 1693, instead of the old church, a small stone one -headed temple was erected at this place. The main shrine of this church was the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Georgian, who received its name at the place of its original location in one of the churches of Georgia, from where it was taken out by the Persians after a raid on Iveria in the 17th century, as Georgia was called in those days. The icon, along with other shrines of the Georgian Orthodox Church, languished for seven years in storage faces of Shah of Persia Abbas. The merchant Stepan Lazarev bought the shrine and delivered it to Russia, where she began to accomplish miracles. The church began to be called Georgian, and the lane (upholstered) of Georgian and in its form - Krivogruzinsky. In 1931, the temple was closed, and in 1932 the church was destroyed by the Bolsheviks, and in its place the building of school No. 656 was built. The circulation of 60 copies.
