Monograph “Church is not an academy ": Russian extracademic theology of the XIX century” is devoted to the history and analysis of theological works and ideas of representatives of secular society who did not have spiritual-academic education, but nevertheless sought to express their understanding of the most important dogmas of the church. Among them are such famous philosophers and writers as A. S. Khomyakov, Yu. F. Samarin, N.V. Gogol, F. M. Dostoevsky, V. S. Solovyov and others. Despite the huge number of scientific works devoted to these authors, an attempt to present their theological heritage as a holistic and interconnected phenomenon, due to general genesis and context, is offered to the reader for the first time on the pages of the monograph.
