This study aims to reconstruct the Christological system of Greek moderate monophysitism (Sevir Antioch, John Filon, etc) and determine its place in the history of Byzantine theological thought. One of the main tasks of the study is a comparative analysis of the monophysitic Christological teaching and the Orthodox (pyphisitic) Christology. Such a comparison is necessary not only for the reconstruction of the Critological system of moderate monophysitism, but also for a better understanding of the Christological thought of the Orthodox authors of the VI - VIII centuries, on which the confrontation of monophysis, mainly in its moderate Sevisian version, had a huge impact. The work discusses in detail the main theologian terms (“essence”, “nature”, “hypostasis”, “face”, “energy”) and Christological formulas (“warlike essence”, “private essence”, “nature in indivisible”, “complex”, “complex Nature ”,“ complex hypostasis ”,“ God -shimmering energy ”,“ the unified nature of the God of the Word embodied ”, etc), which were used by participants in the Christological dissolution of the era of universal cathedrals. One of the chapters is devoted to the little -studied question about the philosophical aspects of Christological disputes. The central place in the study is occupied by the possibility of bringing the Sevirian and Orthodox Christological systems to mutual agreement. The monograph was prepared on the basis of a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Theology, successfully defended on May 21, 2019 in the United Dissertation Council for the Theory and approved by the Higher Attestation Commission
