Before readers, the second book of Abbot Arseny (Sokolova), published in the publishing house "Cognition" of the DRAD, the new series of “Research of the Old Testament” is an analysis of one of the historical books of the Old Testament - the book of Jesus Navin. In accordance with her name, she talks about the history of the Israeli people during the period of conquering to them, led by Jesus Navin Palestine and dividing her between the knees of Israel, and also describes the history of the religious, moral and civilian life of the ancient Jews.
Old Testament texts are analyzed by the author of the book-abbot Arseny (Sokolov), doctor of theology, professor of general church graduate school and doctoral studies named after the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius, representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia under the Patriarch of the Great Antioch and the entire East, a member of the synodal bibli-ohlovskaya commissions.
