Alexander Lvovich Kazem-Bek (1902-1977), author of many articles on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church. Of particular interest is the biography of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy I, whose closest assistant and friend he was. The memories of His Holiness Patriarch, which he shared with Alexander Lvovich, were a unique historical material and formed the basis of this essay.
