The faculty of church arts of the Orthodox Holy Tikhonovsky Humanitarian University is one of the leading centers for training professional specialists in all areas of church fine art: icon painting, monumental art, restoration of easel painting, church sewing, as well as in art criticism. The uniqueness of training at the faculty is that students receive a theological education that allows you to combine professional skills with an understanding of the specifics of church art, determined primarily by its liturgical purpose.
In this publication, information on five issuing departments of the faculty, art workshops of the PSTU and the Church and Archaeological Museum of the FCH, as well as the best examples of the works of teachers and students of practical departments and art workshops, are presented.
