Moses was the founder of Judaism, and through this - the ashly consistent of Christianity. If there were no Moses, there would be no Judaism and Christianity in their present form. He is the author of the most important book of the Bible, the Pentateuch, and the creator of the ten commandments, which are revered in Judaism and Christianity as the highest moral law. But its authorship in both cases has been disputed in the last one and a half centuries. Already in the XVII century, Spinoza resolutely stated: It is clear that the Pentateuch was written not by Moses. Meanwhile, on the thesis that Moses is the author of the Pentateuch, and thereby ten commandments, a lot is based on Judaism and Christianity. To abandon this thesis for both religions means to abandon your history and identity. In this case, you will have to reconsider all the content and all the traditional dogmas of Judaism and Christianity, which for both religions will have unpredictable consequences.
