The temple of Clement of the Pope in Zamoskvorechye is one of the most original, complex and vivid creations of Moscow architecture of the mid -18th century. For the first time, a separate publication is presented to the reader about this well -known monument of church architecture of the Baroque era, which from the moment of its appearance to this day is one of the architectural symbols of the Zamoskvorechye. The book undertakes a comprehensive study of the architectural and artistic features of the Clement Church, new information about the temple found in the archives is introduced into scientific use, and the previously known publications are analyzed by a new angle. A separate part of the publication is devoted to the interior of the church - frescoes, icons, stucco decoration, a study of the iconostasis of the Church of Clement of the Roman and its icons, which for a long time inaccessible to art historians, is published.
