This is an unusual autobiography of the priest who grew up in the USA in Jewish culture, in adolescence began spiritual searches and, through Protestantism, came to Orthodoxy. Arnold Bernstein in childhood was a chess player - and his whole life is like a beautiful chess party. He was a witness to the six -day war in Israel, a fighter for civil rights and a Protestant pastor. The book has a description of the life of America of the 50-70s, reasoning about the Jewish people, the analysis and comparison of Judaism and Orthodoxy. But the most interesting thing in this book is the path of searching for truth, living and deep theology, which allows the reader to look at the seemingly familiar things in a new way
