The remarkable personality of the father of Nikita (Chesnokov), also memorable to many as Father Peter, is devoted to this book. It made an attempt to collect as well as possible as much as possible and present to the attention of the Orthodox reader all the materials available today regarding the personality, circumstances of life, as well as the written spiritual heritage of this wonderful Pskov-Pechersky elder. Something, unfortunately, remains for us (for reasons beyond us) inaccessible.
