In this book, dear reader, you will read about the life and adventures of a modern wanderer. The stories all these are genuine and were told to me by the slave of God Vyacheslav, who, with the blessing of the Pechersky elder Adrian, traveled through the vast expanses of our homeland for seven years. He walked from Pechor to Vladivostok and back. He visited many monasteries and parishes, met with different people, priests and monks. His tenacious and observant mind noted and remembered many interesting details of modern Orthodox life. It is significant that Vyacheslav plowed for more than seven years without a passport, money and things, fully relying on the will of God and the mercy of the Russian people.
And he not only lived, but also went through a huge thousandthing, finding both the “shelter, and the table”, and human kindness. Of course, everything was on the road: beatings, cold, hunger ..., but there was a affection of a simple Russian heart, and most importantly, compassion. As long as it is in our people, there is hope that the Russian man and the faith of the Orthodox are alive
