Translated from Sanskrit, Srimad Bhagavatam means "A wonderful description of the highest personality, Bhagavana." The great sage of Vyasa, having completed the work on editing this divine work, proclaimed him "mature fruit of the fulfilling desire of the Tree of Vedic literature", while adding: "Why are some more books?"
This statement by Vyasa is more than fair, because Srimad Bhagavatam can rightfully be considered the quintessence of the Holy Scriptures of Ancient India. This work tells of the highest soul from which the creator and destroyer of the material worlds (Brahma and Shiva) appeared, contains the historical chronicles of the universe, gives an indefinite idea that there is a true religion, true faith, and, without a doubt, breaks the chains of any, of any one, the most dangerous human errors. "Srimad" teaches to see things as they are, which is true liberation.
