You hold in your hands the first issue of the magazine of the Tula Theological Seminary The Spiritual Arsenal. As you know, our city is the weapons capital of Russia, “Tula for centuries for centuries forces” to ensure the calm of our borders. But today, taking care of the security of the Fatherland, it is not enough to develop modern weapons systems. It is equally important to think about spiritual safety. And in order to provide it to himself, his family and his fatherland, a Christian must own spiritual weapons, as the Apostle Pavel teaches about this: most of all, take the shield of faith, which you can extinguish all the hot arrows of the evil one, and take the spiritual sword, which is the word that is the word God (Eph. 6: 16-17).
Since the arsenal is the place where the weapon is stored, we will try to collect everything that the modern Christian on the spiritual battlefield can be useful in our journal. The strategy of the publication will be determined by scientific and theological articles on the widest spectrum of issues. The tactics will be responsible for materials written in such genres as interviews, essays, memories.
In our difficult time, we all need to mobilize to answer the challenges that are facing the church. I hope that the “Spiritual Arsenal” will contribute to solving this high and noble task
