The monograph is dedicated to the history of the Solovetsky monastery in the era of Catherine II. The socio-economic life of the monastery on the eve of and after the secularization of church property of 1764 is considered. Such issues as the composition of the monastery possessions, the brethren and the worldly population at the monastery, economic activity, and the budget of the monastery are analyzed. The path of adaptation of the monastery to new economic conditions after secularization was revealed. A change in the structure of monastic income and the transition from patrimonial sources of profit to state regular content and donations of pilgrims are shown. The issue of obtaining the Solovetsky monastery in 1765 was studied by the status of Stavropia.
The study is supplemented by a number of applications with biographical information about monks, full-time ministers, soldiers and exiles who lived on Solovki in the study period, as well as structured data of some parish-expanded books.
The book will be useful to everyone who is interested in history
