The book contains the truths of the Orthodox faith set forth according to the creations of the Holy Fathers. “The Holy Fathers act on the mind and heart of a Christian to the inner strength of the teachings of Christ, according to which it, as an immutable truth, satisfying the essential requirements of the human spirit, itself indicates its divine dignity,” said the first publisher of the book Nikolai Vasilievich Elagin.
In a book consisting of letters of the Grace of Jeremiah (Solovyov) to a certain brother, in an accessible form, the teachings of the Orthodox faith were taught. The supply of material goes sequentially and at the same time entertaining. In addition to the holy fathers, the author quotes the verses of famous poets related to the topic of the narrative, leads historical and everyday examples, which very revives perception. In the course of the narrative there are places where the author of letters as if invites the reader to turn to the consideration of himself and the surrounding world in order to know the truths of God through this. Small letters in volume and reading them does not take much time. Therefore, to learn the material will be easier, especially since the form of presentation itself facilitates this process.
