The reader is proposed to the translation of the book of Part II "Shatapatha -Brahman" - an outstanding monument to the ancient Indian religious thought of the end of the Vedic period (c. VI century BC) This text is an important stage in the way of forming a whole spectrum of new genres, starting with decadenthad and ending with the Shrut-, Grihya and Dharmassuters. The preface describes and analyzes the main differences between the eleventh book and previous ones. At the end of each of the translated Brahman, notes are given, in which textological issues are discussed and the information necessary to clarify the logic of the deployment of the text.
