The book of Irina Vasilyeva is a continuation of her work dedicated to the history of the Husino-Oozersky datsan, who, before the closure in 1938, remained the residence of the heads of the Buddhist Church-Bandido Hambo-Lama. Materials for Hambo-Lama biographies allow the reader to make an idea of them personally and the life of the monasteries of Transbaikalia.
In his narrative, Irina Vasilieva is based mainly on the memoirs of contemporaries of Hambo-Lama, on the materials of Russian archives published and not published earlier. Many historical photographs, mainly from the author’s archive, allow you to see a number of heroes of the book with their own eyes.
The book is interesting as a cut of a two -hundred -year history of Buddhism in Transbaikalia, as the history of 17 human lives that recognized as a guide star the wisdom of a hermit from the Shakiev clan
