The purpose of the presented collection of letters of the outstanding archpastor of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov), Bishop of the Caucasus (1807-1867) - as a short form to present the invaluable treasure of the Lord - his doctrine of the spiritual life of a Christian.
The collection is based on a complete collection of letters from St. Ignatius of different years. The book contains many valuable instructions, vividly reflects the spiritual image of the great ascetic of Russian land and includes some previously unknown biographical information about it.
The letters of St. Ignatius are an excellent introduction into his ascetic heritage and to this day continue to effectively exert their fruitful influence on all those who seek salvation of the soul.
