The book contains the oriental articles of the Russian philosopher and thinker Alexander Moiseevich Pyatigorsky (1929-2009), professor at the University of London, written by him in the 1960-1970s, before emigration to England (1974), and published in now inaccessible publications. This is the first attempt to present in a systematic form of his research in the field of indology and especially Buddhology that he was engaged in being a researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The original approach of Pyatigorsky to the study of the problems of Indian and Buddhist psychology and philosophy, sharply different from the Marxist approach officially adopted in those years, and today is of great interest not only for fans of A.M. Pyatigorsky, but also for professional orientalists.
