The scriptures of St. Tikhon Zadonsky have long been a favorite folk reading of Orthodox Christians. This publication of the meeting of creations is significantly different from all published both before the 1917 revolution and in recent years. Gently referring to the author’s text, the publishers translated those archaic words and expressions that are incomprehensible to the modern reader, so as not to deprive modern Christians of the opportunity to join the spiritual meal prepared by the saint.
In the first volume of the meeting of the saint"s creations, his complete life (author - prot. Alexander Lebedev, rector of the Kazan Cathedral, member of the training committee at the Holy Synod), words, the instructions of flock, parents, children, priests and other works.
In the second volume: “Spiritual Treasure” can truly be called an invaluable treasure, bequeathed to us by St. Tikhon Zadonsky. The book provides numerous examples of God"s thought, accessible to everyone"s understanding. The saint, considering the visible things, the phenomena of the physical world, draws parallels with the spiritual world, teaching us the right image of thinking and the spiritual perception of the environment.
In the third volume of his creations, there were reasoning about what should be understood by Christian wisdom and how to apply it in various circumstances of life. The saint considers the path to true Christianity through the doctrine of sins and virtues, repentance and those fruits that the following path acquires.
The fourth volume of the meeting of creations devotes the prisoner to the continuation of the topic, which he called: On true Christianity. The beginning of this work is placed in the third volume.
The fifth volume of the meeting of creations included the letters of the saint, his instructions, thoughts, as well as prayers and prayer rules that he recommended in various circumstances of life
