At the turn of the second and third millennia of the Christian era, the Russian Orthodox Church entered the second millennium of its earthly history. This chronologically expressive milestone in the history of the Church was preceded by nine centuries of the painfully difficult and spiritually contradictory formation of Russian church life and for one century martyrdom for some Russian Orthodox Christians and spiritually destructive for other bloody destruction of the Orthodox Church in Russia.

And finally, the most important question is what our church life should be in the XXI century, so that the Russian Orthodox Church is not in Russia not cultural and historical rudiment, diversifying the faceless landscape of an anesthetic country, but the visible and real way of the Church of Christ, capable of transforming a spiritual life at least Some of her citizens?
