The book examines a wide geographical range in which the Russian Orthodox Church operated abroad in the first ten years of its existence. For the first time, archival data are introduced into the scientific circulation - materials of the magazines of meetings of the Bishop Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church from 1922 to 1930, stored in GARF, as well as publications in the journal Church Vedomosti, published in the city of Srama Karlovtsy.
The monograph describes and analyzes the diocesan life of the Russian Foreign Church, from Europe to America, its relationship with the Church in homeland and with the Soviet regime. Several chapters affect topics such as disciplinary, judicial and divorce cases, preparation for cathedrals, jurisdictional divisions, financial issues, charity, educational and publishing activities.
