The textbook "Russian church singing of the Soviet period: 1917-1945" is dedicated to the most dramatic time in the history of Russian liturgical culture, the time of severe persecution of the Russian Church. The closure of thousands of temples, mass repressions aimed at believers, the actual ban on liturgical life - all this seemed to lead to the complete destruction of church -do"s art. However, contrary to all persecutions, Russian liturgical singing continued to live - thanks to the efforts and feat of clergy, regents, singers, church composers. The publication is the first experience of the systematic presentation of the history of Russian church singing of the Soviet era. It is addressed to a wide range of readers: students of music educational institutions, listeners of regent schools, spiritual schools, as well as all those interested in the history of Russian spiritual music of the 20th century
