The collection is dedicated to the memory of an outstanding historian, ethnographer and archaeologist, Doctor of Technology, prof. G.E. Markova. The breadth of his scientific interests was unprecedented: from the history of the primitive society to the history of religions, from the ethnography of Asia (Western, Central, Eastern, Southeast) to the ethnography and archeology of the Turkic population of Western Siberia, from the history of material culture to the history of German ethnology and the German fence. G.E. Markov stood at the origins of the new scientific direction in ethnology-nomadology (nomadic studies) and acted as the author of the original theory of socio-economic relations in nomadic societies. These theoretical discoveries have become a true scientific revolution in domestic ethnology. Another problem-thematic column of the collection is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, widely celebrated in 2017
