The creator of the first dormitory monastery in Vologda (after the fourth of the XIV century), Rev. Dimitri Prilutsky is one of the most revered Russian saints. In the libraries and archives of Russia, a huge manuscript material associated with the veneration of the saint has been preserved. However, this material is still not in demand. This book is designed to close at least some white spots in the history of the cult of St. Demetrius. The first part of the book is devoted to the history of the creation of the Life of Demetrius Prilutsky and the service to him, as well as the initial stages of their editing. It includes a study of the early history of life and service, the texts of the four early editions of the life and the text of the service according to one of the most authoritative lists (on ancient Russian), As well as the translation into Russian of the most common and most complete life edition (p. 185 ) The second part of the book is dedicated to the singing tradition of service Dimitry Prilutsky: the study is accompanied by the reconstruction of a marked ROSTEN.
