The youth counter -culture and its politicized manifestations in the form of the youth protest of the Western countries have been in their occurrence in the middle of the last century under the strong influence of non -traditional religions. The author traces the complex and contradictory dynamics of the influence of religious and mystical moods on the socio-political activity of “rebellious youth”, shows the inevitability of its peace and reconciliation with the existing state of things due to the substitution of social utopianism with the capitalist system of religious illusions.
