This book contains the texts of Psalter in Church Slavonic and Russian. Unlike the synodal translation of the Bible from Church Slavonic, the Russian text of this psalter is translated from the Greek septaging (LXX) and exactly corresponds to the psalter used in the Orthodox worship. Translation into Russian, made by a wonderful Russian scientist P.A. Yungorov (1856-1921), was approved by the Holy Synod, and with a modern reprint received the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II.
