The collection compiled by the anniversary of the professor of Moscow University M. S. Makeev includes the work of his friends, colleagues and students. A significant part of the articles is devoted to the circle of topics and the problems that directly occupied the hero of the day and created the diverse points of intersection between him and his scientific environment: these are articles that consider the social and ideological aspects of Russian literature of the 1840-1870s, publishing practices, the functioning of literary institutions. Other materials of the collection outline the wider historical and literary perspective, affecting the most diverse plots: from the tradition of the two of the two in the Petrine era to the specifics of the metactant - the newly -led path at the junction of metaphors and metonymy.
