In the book "Perception of God" U.P. Olston offers a clear and at the same time provocative presentation of the epistemology of religious experience. The author claims that the "perception of God" makes a great contribution to the support of the religious faith. Exploring the variety of evidence of the direct experience of God both among ordinary people and mystics, Oleston shows that a person can rationally accept certain beliefs about God on the basis of mystical experience. The author develops the concept of doxastic practices to explain how these sources of beliefs can contribute to their justification.
