In the book of Catherine Kalikinskaya, the People"s Doctor, scientist, ascetic "illuminated the little -known period of the life of the new martyr of the Russian, St. Luke of Crimean. Pereslavl -Zalessky is the only city where he worked as the chief physician of the hospital and the chief surgeon for more than six years, where, according to his biographers, he survived the star hours of his scientific and medical activity. It is also the last, and maybe the main, period of the happy family life of Valentin Feliksovich.
The author managed to attract not only local historical sources, but also documents from the Archive of Voino-Yasenets, as well as unique photographs, many of which are published in our country for the first time. This made it possible to illuminate the relationship of the future saint with patients, relatives, and work colleagues. Based on the new data and the analysis of existing publications, a conclusion was also concluded on the formation of the spirituality of an outstanding surgeon and healer.
