This small book in a clear and affordable form explains why in human society there is a strict ban on the use of some (in our time, unfortunately, well -known even first -graders) words and expressions, and talks about the terrible consequences of swearing. The reader will be convinced that bad words are nothing but blasphemy, and their origin is the lowest and disgusting.
Among the authors of the materials included in the publication are famous writers and teachers, authoritative Orthodox priests (Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov, Archpriest Dimitri Smirnov, Archimandrite Rafail Karelin and others) Some articles and interviews are published for the first time.
The second part of the brochure is addressed directly to the younger generation.
This book "Symbols" opens up a new series of publications "Library of Christian Education", the purpose of which is to answer complex questions related to raising children in the modern world. The signs of our time are the immorality, the substitution of living human relations with an illusory "virtual" communication, universal relaxation, dependence on comfort and the far from the most necessary "benefits" civilization, human degradation and the terrible dimming of the most important thing - the image of God. All this affects each of us and with tripled power - on our children. Even if they believe in God, even if they are in the temple.
Where can I get an antidote so that the soul of a dear person does not disfigure the spirit of this world? How to choose the right words that our child will pay attention to, which he will believe, which he will remember? What arguments to bring? ..
We offer all possible help in finding answers to these difficult questions.
The feature of the books of our new series is double addressing: they are addressed to both parents and their younger children. How often it happens: you will offer your son or daughter a useful book, and he (or she) barely looks at the cover and puts aside. We tried to simplify the task. The books of "libraries" will help parents, firstly, to form a personal view of the problems discussed in them, and, secondly, to unobtrusively affect children. For them, in each book (and in this too) a small section is intended - a dozen and a half pages, which will not be difficult even for those who do not like to read.
"Read yourself and pass on the child" - this could be the motto of this book project.
