The publication proposed to the reader is dedicated to the history of the southeast of Europe in the first decade rich and saturated with important events in the history of the Orthodox Churches of the Orthodox Churches after the end of World War II. These years have become noticeable in the history of a number of local Orthodox churches of the Balkan Peninsula. Most of them: the Serbian, Bulgarian Romanian, Albanian churches were forced to exist in the conditions of socialist regimes and experience various constraints, and sometimes persecution. In the first post-war decade, the relations of the Orthodox churches of southeastern Europe with the Russian Church, which pays special attention to the work, occupied a noticeable place. Moreover, if the Moscow Patriarchate has significantly strengthened its influence and advanced to leading positions in the Orthodox world, then the Russian emigration has lost its previously important role in the development of church life of a number of countries to a large extent. The monograph is based on rich archival sources, in particular, materials of Bulgarian, Serbian, Greek, German, American, Russian and other archives.
