This release of the Optinsky almanac is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great ascetic, made Jesus prayer, translator of patristic creations, the Renaissance of the old age of the Monk Paisius (Velichkovsky) The authors of the almanac in their articles from different sides lit up the identity of the saint, his influence on other ascetics, the connection of the Paisiev school with oldness in the Optina Desert.
